In Play is an interactive installation that invites individuals to re-engage with creativity through the simple yet powerful act of play. The project centers on a series of colorful, 3D-printed, magnetized building blocks that can be combined to form customizable marble runs, encouraging open-ended construction and exploration.
At its core, In Play celebrates experimentation, spontaneity, and imagination. The blocks are embedded with magnets, allowing them to snap together and adhere to a metal platform for flexible, stable building. In addition to the printed components, the installation incorporates familiar materials—including a slinky—blending the tactile nostalgia of childhood toys with contemporary fabrication techniques.
The project provides a space where adults and children alike can pause, explore, and reconnect with creative play. By removing rules and embracing the joy of making, In Play invites participants into a hands-on experience that values curiosity, collaboration, and discovery.
